CHANGES TO SCHOOL MEALS PROVISION

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT SCHOOL MEALS

I am pleased to update you about the provision of school meals being served in our dining room from Monday 15th November.  There will be two hot meal options available each day: 1 as detailed on the menu sheets, plus a hot baked potato with a choice of fillings.  There will also be soup and sandwich options as well as fruit, yogurts and drinks.

We will be introducing this to all classes on a phased basis over the next few weeks.  Please read the information below to guide you.  As your child’s class is able to move to selecting lunches in the dining room there will no longer be the requirement to pre-order meals EXCEPT THOSE WITH ALLERGIES AND DIETARY REQUIREMENTS – these meals will be made and served separately and on a named tray for individual pupils.  I will also be in the dining room to supervise the serving of meals.

w/b 15th November

P1 & P2 Will select a meal from dining room

Children with dietary requirements and allergies will still need to send in an order

P3 & P4 should still send in an order and will eat this in class.

P5,P6,P7 require a packed lunch

w/b 22nd November P1, P2, P3 and P4 Will select a meal from dining room Children with dietary requirements and allergies will still need to send in an order P5,P6,P7 require a packed lunch
w/b 29th November All classes will be able to select a meal from dining room Children with dietary requirements and allergies will still need to send in an order P5, P6, P7 pupils will need to pay for their lunch via Parent Pay unless in receipt of Free School Meals.

The children will be served in the dining room on a rotation basis and we will adjust our Covid risk assessment to ensure that tables are cleared and cleaned before a new class uses them, there is adequate ventilation in the room and individual classes sit together to avoid mixing.   There is likely to be a bit of trial and error as we open up the dining room again and systems will be modified until we find a workable model for the whole school.  If you have any issues with your Parent Pay account, PLEASE EMAIL THE SCHOOL ADDRESS, and we can send you your log in information again.  Thank you for your patience and continued support with this.
